Doug was born on March 28, 1942, in Hayfield, MN to Ernest and Mathilda (Holze) Johnson. He graduated from Hayfield High School and then attended the University of Minnesota. He served in the US Army in Germany as Military Police from 1964-1966. He married Ruth Norman on December 2, 1967, and together they had two children, Sarah and Rebecca. Dick Morrison was born May 28, 1937, in Muncie, Indiana. He was the youngest of four sons born to Blanche (Hamilton) and Harold K. Morrison. He spent an idyllic boyhood in Yorktown, Indiana.
